The Sennheiser PXC 450 Noisegard Active Noise Canceling Headphones are a high quality headphone that can be used equally as a travel headphone or in the home. They do need a single AAA battery to function, but this will provide over 16 hours of playback. I use a high quality rechargeable battery and have never had a problem. The Sound quality is beyond belief, you’ll hear things in songs you have played 100 times before and never noticed. The noise canceling functionality of the Sennheiser PXC 450 is remarkable. The headphones are a comfortable but tightish fit, providing some instant passive noice cancellation. These headphones are very similar to the much more expensive HD 595 models, which are one of the best you can buy for under $500. The HD 555 is very similar in quality and sound clarity.
